Norwich City manager Daniel Farke said it will take a "miracle" for his side to avoid relegation from the Premier League this season after they lost 2-1 to Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.

But Son Heung-min's 79th-minute header against the run of play got the home side out of jail.

The South Korean headed in the 79th minute on Dele Alli's deflected cross to end his drought of seven games.

However, another uninspired performance did little to suggest they are capable of chasing down Mourinho's old club unless more firepower is added before the end of the transfer window this month.

Spurs have struggled for form in the absence of talisman Harry Kane who is now sidelined with an injury.

"Spurs have failed to score in three league games for the first time in over six years, and they had to thank Troy Deeney's missed penalty at Vicarage Road at the weekend for their first clean sheet on the road in the league since winning 3-0 at Cardiff on New Year's Day 2019!"

"I think he (Lo Celso) was phenomenal".

"When Chelsea want to win they bring on Michy Batshuayi. We are so, so unlucky with injuries".

The victory fired Spurs to sixth on the log with 34 points, as Norwich remain bottom of the pile and six points from safety. "Of course, we are disappointed, but we had the chances".

"It's hard when you don't win games because it's not good for the mood or confidence".

"One point is deserved from this game but that's football".

Pukki then fired inches wide from the edge of the area and both Cantwell and the Finnish striker failed to turn in Sam Byram's risky cross from point-blank range.

Christian Eriksen remains on the bench with his move to Inter Milan, and new signing Gedson Fernandes is also among the representatives while waiting for his first start.

But last-place Norwich levelled in the 70th through Teemu Pukki's penalty after Ryan Sessegnon clipped Max Aarons and VAR took more than two minutes to confirm the foul.

Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris returned for his first appearance under Jose Mourinho against Norwich on Wednesday after over three months out with a dislocated elbow.

The home crowd were growing restless as Norwich continued to pour forward as Ondrej Duda failed to pick out an unmarked Pukki in the penalty area.

Alli's shot went off Norwich player Christoph Zimmermann and floated over goalkeeper Tim Krul.
