Dhoni's last global match for India was against New Zealand in the ICC World Cup 2019 semi-final in England. India received the second match by seven wickets and took a 2-zero lead within the five-match collection. The first game is the one that slightly got away on us but we were certainly outplayed in the second game. Dhoni in 2008/09, and went down 1-2 previous year. From 2019, Iyer has the most sixes by any Indian in T20 cricket - a stunning 67 maximums, which is the seventh-best among all T20 players in the world. "We know we need to be on top of our game if we need to beat India", Southee said here.

However, their current winning form in T20 cricket won't lead to any meaningful change in the ICC rankings. The third T20I on Wednesday at the Seddon Park in Hamilton is a must-win affair for the Kiwis.

New Zealand are now placed sixth. Pakistan, Australia, England and South Africa are in this order in the ranking.

The greater concern at present is building towards the T20 World Cup to be hosted in Australia later this year. This definitely helps the team but it also boosts their confidence.

In this respect, no changes are to be expected in the Indian line-up for the third T20. On Tuesday, there was an optional practice session with skipper Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah, the ones missing in action.

Rathour hailed the mindset of Iyer, who believes the latter is as a big player and the match-winner of the team.

There is a possibility of changing the Indian occupation.

Chahal provides greater control and his wrist spin moves away from the majority of right-handers in the Black Caps' line-up, thus against the arc of swing.

Yadav is a little more adventurous in his flight and the angle he turns to the right could have been easy to feed on the short borders of Eden Park.

Whether Yadav comes back into contention at the regular-sized Seddon Park remains to be seen. The New Zealand player, however, seems to be known about the mistake he unwillingly committed, tried to ignore Chahal's question. As far as New Zealand is concerned, it will be Colin de Grandhom's last chance to make an impact. The all-rounder will be replaced in the squad for the last two T20Is by batsman Tom Bruce. Whereas, he also highlighted the fielding errors that the team has made in the first two games. India is leading 2-0 in the series. However, both of them are unlikely to get a chance on Wednesday.

"India have played well". Here in New Zealand, the way he has kept pace with the circumstances in a very short time is really wonderful. They play a three-ODI series after the T20Is.
