Trump tweets 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' clip. But did he miss the joke?

"TOUGH GUYS FOR TRUMP!" the president tweeted alongside the uncensored video, which he pinned to the top of his Twitter profile for increased visibility.

"I oughta rip you out of that f-- car, ' the biker says".

"See him around town with that hat, 'Make America Great Again, ' " Greene says.

David is not politically affiliated with Trump and has mentioned how the red MAGA cap was a good plot device.

"This episode of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is mocking MAGA culture (if that's the appropriate term)", author Joyce Carol Oates tweeted. It reveals Larry David defusing a road-rage conflict with an offended biker by donning a purple "Make America Nice Once more" cap. "The glaring red MAGA hat is used by Larry David to repel people he doesn't want to meet with in L.A".

The grainy 28-second video that appeared Monday on President Donald Trump's Twitter account was immediately recognizable to fans of Larry David and HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm". "He makes me want to not be anywhere near him". "The President is so stupid that he can't even tell Larry David is making fun of him in this episode". Reflecting on the potency of the hat during a conversation with Jeff Garlin, Larry marvels that it "worked like a charm. It's like spotting a double rainbow of intolerance".

Nevertheless, some Trump supporters seem to enjoy seeing people correct their favourite president. People on the left see this clip the way it was intended: a satire of the assholes who support Trump. His campaign tweeted a video of Trump as the Marvel villain Thanos previous year, moments before the character loses to the Avengers.

David has publicly criticized Trump and reportedly donated to the presidential campaign of former South Bend, Ind., mayor Pete Buttigieg, who is running for the Democratic nomination.

One of the torrent of responses and replies to the responses was a clip of an interview of David by NY sports broadcaster Michael Kay before the premiere of Curb a month.

Journalist Jimmy Traina shared a clip of David's January interview with Michael Kay after President Trump shared a scene from "Curb" where David discovers that wearing the iconic "MAGA" hat is a great "people repellent". You have my blessing. David replied. He made sure to hammer home his point that he doesn't care about MAGA lover's feelings stating, "No, I could give a fuck!".
