"Today, five-time GRAMMY® Award winning Darkroom/Interscope Records artist Billie Eilish has released her latest song, No Time To Die, the official theme song to the upcoming James Bond film".

At 18, she is the youngest artist ever to write and record a Bond theme - adding to the Gen-Z anti-pop phenom's growing list of historic achievements. "I'm still in shock", Eilish said in a statement.

The lyrics to No Time To Die reference lies and deceit, as Eilish sings: "You were never on my side".

"Billie and Finneas have written an incredibly powerful and moving song for 'No Time To Die, ' which has been impeccably crafted to work within the emotional story of the film", producers of the film Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said in a statement.

Added Finneas, "Writing the theme song for a Bond film is something we've been dreaming about doing our entire lives. AND I AM SINGING THE THEME SONG", Eilish later wrote on Instagram.

Billie Eilish made history with her Grammy Awards sweep.

After a couple of listens, I'm really liking the song and its very classical feel: it hits every single one of those markers above (perhaps not the karaoke), clearly references Madeleine's betrayal of Bond seen in the trailer and has a attractive mournful quality that speaks to Bond's retreat to a solitary life in Jamaica before the plot kicks in.

Eilish wrote the song with her 22-year-old brother and musical collaborator Finneas O'Connell, with orchestral arrangements by renowned composer and Oscar victor Hans Zimmer and British conductor Matt Dunkley.

The theme song "Writing's On the Wall, ' for the last James Bond film, Spectre, was performed by Sam Smith, while Adele performed 'Skyfall" for the movie of the same name.

Hearing Billie Eilish backed by an orchestral arrangement on this Bond theme is a damn MOOD, let me tell you.

Billie's 2020 Where Do We Go World Arena Tour sold out within an hour of on-sale and starts March 9, 2020.

Breakout star Billie Eilish is now officially a Bond girl - sort of. It's going to be interesting to find out if that's Johnny Marr's guitar in the mix, not to mention how the song plays against the visuals of the title sequence.
