Earlier this week, Dwyane Wade shared that his child, Zaya has come out as transgender where he explained that he and his wife are "proud parents of a child in the LGBTQ+ community". "And we are proud allies as well". We take our roles and our responsibility as parents very seriously.

Wendy Williams was overcome with emotion while discussing the news that Dwyane Wade's 12-year-old - now Zaya Wade - came out as transgender. I think going forward, and I'm ready to tell my truth. "Man, I remember bugging my mother for a child telling her that I wanted a brother so poor", he started the caption into his article. I want to be referred to her and her, I would love to be called Zaya. The 18-year-old posted a heartfelt message on his Instagram page to let everyone know that nothing has changed between him and Zaya, regardless of what people say or think about her.

You've listened, you've supported, and now it's time to educate yourself about what this identity means for your child and their future. "I would love for you guys to call me Zaya", he recalled his daughter's conversation with them. "Right now it's through us, because she's 12 years old, but eventually it will be through her". Within an Instagram article he shared February 12, Zaire shared two throwback photographs of him Zaya if they had been really little.

'Hey, Zaya! We are all so proud of you, ' she said.

The support in the responses to her tweet was overwhelming.

It's like, you're not even dwelling as your self. It's about you. Who are you?

It seems, also, that Zaya is indeed proud to now be living the life she had been supposed to.
