Prince of Persia is back! …oh no

Technically, it's not the next version of the game, which most gamers have been eagerly waiting for. But if you'd like to jump back into the dusty tombs and elaborate palaces of the once-popular series, you can do that in the company's latest virtual reality escape room: Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time. "To do so, we are not mirroring the in-game environment like we did in Escape the Lost Pyramid, and this makes the riddles and the level design way more complex".

It's been almost a decade since Ubisoft released a triple-A Prince of Persia game. The new Dagger of Time features an Arabian Nights theme for the setting. The ultimate objective of the game is to reach the Hourglass Chamber in the mysterious Fortress of Time. Maybe if this takes off we might see another mainline entry in the Prince of Persia franchise?

Team LeBron five-point favorite over Team Giannis in All-Star Game
Saturday will feature Queen Latifah performing Stevie Wonder's "Love's in Need of Love Today." with youth from Chicago. The NBA has already announced some of the entertainment that fans will get to see at All-Star Weekend in Chicago.

Speaking about the game in an official statement, Ubisoft said: "In the story, players are summoned by Kaileena, the Empress of Time". Just like the other games, the players will need to face off and fight against an evil Magi. I've never actually tried an escape room before but I imagine it could be a good amount of fun with the right friends. The biggest change is that The Dagger of Time will be a Prince of Persia VR escape room rather than a traditional kind of game, bringing the franchise to your VR headset for the first time ever. It's the developer's third location-based VR escape room after making two others based on the Assassin's Creed series. The Prince of Persia adds to the list now. Teams will require two, three or four players to traverse the temple's various towers while also solving puzzles to help your friends venture deeper into the fortress.

We can expect more news from Ubisoft later this year as the game firm is among the list of exhibitors set to appear at E3 2020.
