Microsoft has been working on a new Office experience on mobile devices for a little while. This was at a time where Windows Phone users had a similar pre-loaded Office Hub, and before Microsoft released standalone Word, Excel, and Powerpoint apps on iOS and Android.

The new app means users no longer have to switch between individual Microsoft programs to work with different types of files. Right now, tablets and Chromebooks are not supported by the app as there is no tablet-specific UI. The app appears to have remained unavailable on the App Store.

Additionally, users can instantly create PDFs from photos or documents in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. It was further able to stop over 790,000 policy-violating app submissions before they even made it to the Play Store, the official blog notes. Simply go to and search for Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & More on the Google Store and download it.

ToTok was also pulled from Apple's App Store and the Google Play Store in December.

According to the U.S. officials familiar with the classified intelligence assessment, the app that works like Signal or Telegram has been downloaded millions of times on Android and iOS devices in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America.
