Princess Margaret's son David Linley, wife Serena to divorce

"The Earl and Countess of Snowdon have amicably agreed that their marriage has come to an end and that they shall be divorced", a statement reads, according to Harper's Bazaar and the Daily Mail.

"Peter and Autumn have requested privacy and compassion for their children while the family continues to adapt to these changes".

It comes six days after the Queen's grandson Peter Phillips announced his divorce from wife Autumn.

The couple told the Queen and other Royal Family members about their decision past year.

The Earl - David Armstrong-Jones - who is known for his high-end furniture company and wife Serena are to separate after more than 25 years of marriage.

The earl's mother, Princess Margaret - the Queen's sister - died in 2002 and his father, celebrity photographer Antony Armstrong-Jones, died in 2017. And most of all, he spends time with his family.

They come after Queen Elizabeth's grandson Prince Harry and his U.S. wife Meghan quit their royal roles last month in search of financial independence, and moved to Canada.

David, 58, and Serena tied the knot at St Margaret's Church in Westminster in 1993 and share two children together, 20-year-old Charles Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley, and 17-year-old Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones.

The Earl, also known by his professional name of David Linley, also produces luxury British accessories and has reportedly created the interiors for a number of exclusive central London homes.

The Queen's nephew is set to divorce his wife after 26 years of marriage. "Both families were naturally sad at the announcement, but fully supportive of Peter and Autumn in the joint decision to co-parent their children".

Phillips, 42, and his Canadian wife Autumn will share custody of their two daughters and both remain in Gloucestershire, southwest England.
