The Xperia L4 could catapult Sony back into budget contention

Those last two specs are the same as the Xperia L3, so disappointingly it doesn't sound like the Sony Xperia L4 will be any more powerful. "The screen is a 6.2" LCD panel that pushes a HD+ resolution of 1680×720 pixels. The phone uses a smooth plastic body that has a better grip but is slightly inferior to glass. For the first time on a Sony smartphone, the display has a tiny notch at the top which houses an 8MP selfie camera.

For photos and videos, the Sony Xperia L4 comes with the triple rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.0 lens, along with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor that has an f/2.2 lens along with a field-of-view (FoV) of 117 degrees and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. All sensors are aligned to the left of this device. The triple lens line-up comprises of a 13MP f/2 main wide lens, 5MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, and 2MP f/2.4 depth camera for bokeh effects. The processor is in the same league as the Snapdragon 625 SoC.

As for the battery capacity, this smartphone comes with a 3,580 mAh. It also retains the 3.5mm audio jack and doubles the built-in storage to 64GB.

The Xperia L4 packs a 3,580mAh battery with fast charging support, which is a small upgrade over the 3,300mAh cell inside its predecessor. While we wait for another flagship Xperia model this year, Sony has unveiled a surprise model dubbed Xperia L4. The mobile phone will be available in Black and blue but the price is yet to be disclosed. It is instead designed as a new entry-level smartphone - the successor to the Sony Xperia L3 that was launched at MWC 2019 and was went on sale in Europe with a price tag of Euro 200 (roughly Rs. 15,500).
