Blues new signing Hakim Ziyech is proud and delighted to be a Chelsea star after the Blues triggered his buyout clause and agree on a personal terms with the Moroccan attacker.

"We are delighted Hakim will be joining us in the summer, having been a key target of the club's in this last window", she said.

Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia has also revealed the club's delight at getting the deal over the line and believes they have landed one of Europe's best.

The clubs have signed an agreement for Ziyech, 26, who will remain at the helm of the Eredivisie until the end of the season at the start of the month.

The Dutch-born Moroccan has played for Ajax since 2016.

"He has consistently been a person of the most perilous attacking gamers in Europe in recent many years, which we noticed first-hand in our two video games versus Ajax in the Champions League".

Despite knowing he will not be at the club in six months time, Ziyech insists the move to Chelsea will not act as a distraction in his quest for success with Ajax.

No. 1 Baylor falls to No. 3 Kansas
And the last time they faced a No. 1 team on the road was March 8, 1958, when they headed down the road to beat Kansas State. That ended the Bears' 23-game winning streak, and come Monday, likely their five-week hold on the No. 1 spot in the AP poll.

"He is vital for that team (Ajax)".

"I know his qualities, he has a great left foot, generally plays off the right but can play behind the front man".

Hakim Ziyech to Chelsea makes sense.

Frank Lampard has spoken about signing a long-term replacement for Eden Hazard recently.

Ziyech caught manager Frank Lampard's eye during the two clubs' Champions League clash in November, when he had a hand in three of the goals in a match that ended 4-4.

"It's already been established that some of our players will be leaving this summer". Lampard has up to £150m to spend but clubs such as Liverpool and Manchester United also want Sancho.

Ziyech will remain an Ajax player until the end of the season, although he is now sidelined with a calf injury. He wants to move to the Premier League and there are question marks over Kepa's future at Stamford Bridge.
