A second coronavirus patient, a woman in her fifties, died on Friday after being moved from Daegu to South Korea's second-largest city Busan for treatment, South Korea's Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. It has been fatal in 2 per cent of reported cases, with a risk of death higher for older patients, and relatively few cases among children, according to the WHO.

Officially named Sars-CoV-2, the new virus is thought to have originated in Hubei province in China. The agency said 70 of them are linked to a branch of the Shincheonji church in Daegu, which has become the biggest cluster of viral infections in the country, which now has a total of 556 cases.

It started with a 61-year-old woman who developed a fever on February 10 but attended at least four church services before being diagnosed.
