Sanders clear Democratic frontrunner after decisive Nevada win

Trump, who lost Nevada to Democrat Hillary Clinton in 2016, tweeted on Saturday that he expected to win in Nevada in the general election in November and alluded to the reports that a Russian disinformation effort was supporting Sanders. If Biden fails to get a win in SC, his support could go straight into Bloomberg's pocket. But...comparing the win of a Jewish candidate to the nazis?

Steyer hit the polling requirements for the debate based on the results of a CBS News/YouGov poll in SC released Sunday morning after failing to satisfy the polling requirements for the Nevada debate in which the Democratic National Convention removed fundraising goals, allowing Bloomberg to participate for the first time.

The next contest will be the SC primaries on February 29. "They've got a lot of winning to do". And after Warren's disappointing results in the first three nomination contests, his competitors in the race, particularly the Sanders campaign, have highlighted his scrutiny and support efforts in the home state of the MA senator.

Clyburn's endorsement for Biden could be what the campaign needs as a leader in the African-American community to maintain and even turn the tide of an increasingly narrow lead ahead of Sanders and billionaire Tom Steyer who have begun to capitalize on Biden's campaign fallout.

Pete Buttigieg, former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, now held the fourth place with 8.7 percent of county delegates.

Nevada's population is about half white, almost 30 per cent Hispanic, 10 per cent African American and 10 per cent Asian. He noted the "diversity and beauty in this audience" at the rally.

However, Sanders' second place standing with black voters could be a good sign for Biden going into SC, where black voters make up 60% of the Democratic electorate.

In the waning weeks before Super Tuesday, Warren has taken off the gloves with a feisty performance in last Tuesday's debate.

The centrist Biden, desperate to right a listing ship after miserable showings in the first two states, told supporters he feels "really good" about his Nevada finish and shouldn't be counted out.

He tells NBC's "Meet the Press": "If you can win SC decisively, it can set the stage for Super Tuesday". As results rolled in, Warren was going to hold a rally in Seattle, Washington.

Measuring sentiment among would-be Democratic primary voters nationwide, it's Sanders who is leading in overall preference to be their nominee. Klobuchar is likely to struggle in SC.

Instead, she has also moved on to campaigning in Super Tuesday states, where she will campaign in Alabama and Oklahoma this week.
