Lady Gaga Announces New Single 'Stupid Love' as She Prepares Upcoming Album

There's been a lot of speculation about whether Lady Gaga would bother to release "Stupid Love" after the song allegedly leaked last month.

She shared the news with her social media followers, writing: "Stupid Love the new single by Lady Gaga out Friday at Midnight ET #LG6".

Gaga, 33, broke her silence regarding the leak when she tweeted "can y'all stop" along with a meme of a girl dancing with a ski mask on.

The nine-time Grammy victor has been teasing the record as far back as a year ago when she tweeted: 'Rumors I'm pregnant? That version of "Stupid Love" is a disco-infused anthem whose style harkens back to Gaga's "Born This Way" album.

Prior to her ASIB success, Gaga released her fifth studio album Joanne in 2016 that saw the experimental pop star in a more stripped down state. Yeah, I'm pregnant with #LG6'.

"Gaga rose to fame with her first album "The Fame" in 2008, featuring tracks like "Just Dance", Paparazzi" and "Poker Face".

While the name of "LG6" has yet to be announced, the teaser image for "Stupid Love" references the word "Chromatica", which fans have speculated is the name of Gaga's upcoming release.
