Convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein has two cellmates on Rikers Island, where he took a bad fall this weekend and is "miserable", his spokesman said.

Weinstein was convicted Monday of rape and sexual assault against two women and was immediately handcuffed and led off to jail, sealing his dizzying fall from powerful Hollywood studio boss to archvillain of the #MeToo movement.

Adjusting to jail life has been especially hard without the aid of his walker. "His head has been pounding since yesterday".

The disgraced movie mogul was transported to the facility over the weekend, moving from Bellevue Hospital in NY where he had been held since he was convicted of rape and a criminal sexual act last month.

He had been accused of getting special treatment because after his conviction on February 24, instead of going straight to Rikers, he was taken to hospital, where he stayed for ten days.

Weinstein had a four-hour operation to put a stent in his heart, but was deemed healthy enough to move last Friday.

Residents hurried to bottle up the good stuff before a local waste disposal company took care of the issue. They concluded by apologizing for "the possible inconvenience caused by the episode".

Englemayer also confirmed that Weinstein does not have a walker in jail, even though he used a walker to get in and out of court during his trial. Weinstein is eligible for a maximum of 29 years in prison.

"It's a prison cell", she added to the New York Post's gossip column, Page Six.

Until then, Weinstein is being kept on the sixth floor of the main building of the North Infirmary Command at Rikers - a unit for high-profile prisoners and inmates with medical issues. Weinstein's legal team is expected to file its own sentencing memo to Burke early next week.

Harvey Weinstein hasn't been in prison a whole month yet since he was found guilty of sex crimes and he's already sustained an injury.

In the late 1990s, Weinstein sexually assaulted and "forever stigmatised" a 19-year-old female employee at his company in the United Kingdom, she said.
