Last night time's complete moon was once the second one closest of 2020, in keeping with EarthSky.

For example- Some years have 13 Full Moons, which makes one of them a Blue Moon, as it doesn't quite fit in with the traditional Full Moon naming system.

This is because the Moon's orbit is not a ideal circle and is actually slightly oval.

THAT FULL MOON in the sky Monday night was March's Full Worm Moon - so-called by the people native to the Northeast because March was the month that worms began to appear as a result of thawed ground and rain.

All the names have a similar meaning, with the gist of it being that they kick off spring time and the end of winter.

Other names for March's full moon are Crust Moon and Lenten Moon.

The coronavirus is now officially a pandemic
The estimated number of deaths from the Hong Kong flu was one million worldwide, with most deaths in people aged 65 and older . What it means: The designation means that the novel coronavirus is spreading in many countries at the same time.

Supermoons appear slightly bigger and brighter in the night sky than an average full moon. "The term itself is of no scientific value: astronomers prefer to call it perigee full moon, but undoubtedly "supermoon" is by far a much more charming name".

Accordingly, there will be approximately three or four full moons in a year in a row and three or four Supermoons in a row.

Location variationIn Celtic, Worm Moon is also known as the Moon of the Winds and Chaste Moon in Medieval England.

"The earthworms in these areas now are mostly invasive species introduced from Europe and Asia".
