Clarksville area facing a chance of strong thunderstorms overnight

Properties and homes were damaged in several central Texas communities and forecasters Thursday reported severe overnight storms and tornadoes. While not all will experience severe weather widespread heavy rain is likely.

Highs today will vary depending on where you are, the 40s and 50s towards the north and areas near I-80 and south will be in the low to mid-60s.

The area in green has the highest chance of tornadic thunderstorms on Friday. From here, more in the way of showers and storms rumble across the state through Friday as we wait for a strong cold front to move through. The NW wind will gust to 40 miles per hour. A cold front moving through the region will produce a good chance for showers and storms.
