The number of novel coronavirus cases around the world is over 328,000 worldwide with Italy and the United States behind China as the countries with the most cases of COVID-19 infections, according to data compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.

President Donald Trump says he's ordered the Federal Emergency Management Agency to ship mobile hospital centers to the hard-hit states of Washington, California and NY amid the coronavirus pandemic. NY tops the list with more than 15,000 confirmed coronavirus cases, with 5,418 new cases added in the 24 hours alone.

The new federal aid comes after California Gov. Gavin Newsom sent a letter to the Trump Administration asking for it to grant requests for a State of Disaster declaration, saying that such a declaration would provide necessary resources including "mass care and emergency assistance, crisis counseling, disaster unemployment assistance, and disaster legal services".

"And through (Federal Emergency Management Agency), the federal government will be funding 100% of the cost of deploying national guard units to carry out approved missions to stop the virus while those governors remain in command", the President said at a White House briefing.

Also, officials reaffirmed the need to prioritize testing toward the most vulnerable cases after heavily-affected states restricted testing. "We're about 10 days away from seeing widespread shortages".

Downtown Wuhan remains the only high-risk area in the province, with other cities and counties classified as low-risk. According to authorities yesterday, people can enter the city if they are certified healthy and have no fever.

For most people, the coronavirus causes only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough.

"America will again and soon be open for business - very soon", Trump said declining to offer a date but said it would be weeks, not days. "We have large quantities of medical equipment and supplies on the way to those states".

"It's not hard to make a mask or PPE (personal protective equipment) equipment or a gown, but you need companies to do it", the NY governor said.

This is the second time Title 32 has been used under the Trump presidency. "We're at war. In a true sense, we're at war and we're fighting an invisible enemy". For those anxious and afraid, please know as long as I am your president, you can feel confident that you have a leader who will always fight for you.

'We'll be following them and we hope they can do the job and I think they will.
