University of Tampa Students Test Positive for Coronavirus After Spring Break Trip

Florida beaches, for example, were packed with people during Spring Break and now according to reports, some of the students who went on vacay during the informal holiday do, in fact, have Coronavirus.

CNN reports that Florida has the sixth most cases of COVID-19 in the United States.

The university said the students were traveling together and with other UT students during spring break before testing positive.

"We sincerely wish our students, and any others who may be affected, a full and rapid recovery", UT posted on Twitter Saturday night. The University has urged students to "not return" to campus following spring break and has offered partial refunds to students who move out. "We can expect the number of cases that touch our institution and other areas of our lives to rise in the weeks to come", said U of C President Ed McCauley in the email to staff and students.

The University of Tampa last Monday switched to an online-class format for the remainder of the semester.

In addition, the Fed announced $300 billion in new financing to facilitate credit flow to employers, consumers and businesses. Because the Fed does not have the authority to take on corporate bonds onto its balance sheet, it worked with the U.S.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Allegheny County now has 40 cases, while there are 479 cases statewide. Beaches across America have been closed to prevent gatherings, but Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida failed to enforce such restrictions, according to NBC News.

The nation and many parts of the world are in isolation in an attempt to slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), a deadly pandemic caused by acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).

"If I get corona, I get corona", one bleary-eyed student - later identified as Brady Sluder - bragged.

For those not familiar with Spring Break, it's an annual event across the world that is particularly popular in parts of America.
