Amazon has temporarily closed a Kentucky warehouse after an unspecified number of workers tested positive for the coronavirus.

The company did not address why the facility remained open - or detail any additional cleaning procedures - but said it has advised any workers who were in close contact with the employee to stay home and self-quarantine for 14 days.

Amazon has reportedly closed down some of those facilities to clean and sanitize workspaces and items. Workers tested positive for the virus at warehouses in Staten Island and Queens, New York; Shepherdsville, Kentucky; Jacksonville, Florida; Katy, Texas; Brownstown, Michigan; Wallingford, Connecticut; and Oklahoma City, according to NPR. This comes in light of a steady escalation of coronavirus cases in United States of America, even as the country's government continues to put large sections of the country in lockdown and announces economic measures to soften the blow on the economy. "We continue to serve customers while taking care of our associates and we're following all guidelines from local officials about the operations of our buildings".

Besides the US, even Amazon warehouse workers in Italy and Spain have also tested positive.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 Possibly Delayed Due to COVID-19
Visible results are an enormous a part of any Star Trek collection, and those in Discovery have been particularly spectacular. So, while it's still unclear when exactly the new season will arrive, the good news is that it is still coming.

A week ago, an Amazon warehouse worker in Queens tested positive for COVID-19 as the virus began rapidly spreading in the region. The company has already released many of these new protocols.

This puts increasing pressure on Amazon workers themselves, some of whom have accused the company of "recklessly endangering" employees by not granting them paid time off. Earlier, five Amazon warehouse employees-three in Spain and two in Italy-had tested positive for the disease. The corporate on March 11 introduced that every one staff, both recognized with the coronavirus or who self-quarantine attributable to doable publicity, will obtain two weeks' paid day off through the global pandemic.

"While Amazon has made some limited coronavirus accommodations, it needs a comprehensive plan to ensure the safety of all of its workers and the larger public", the application checks out.

"We've placed purchase orders for millions of face masks we want to give to our employees and contractors who can not work from home, but very few of those orders have been filled". More than 108,000 people have recovered from this illness.
