One of the first celebrities to contract the novel coronavirus was Idris Elba, who was possibly in contact with Sophie Trudeau, Justin Trudeau's wife, in the week prior to his diagnosis.

He continued: "And also this idea that someone like myself is gonna be paid to say 'I've got coronavirus, ' that's absolute bulls-t".

"I think the negativity around "test shaming" is counterproductive", Elba said. "I don't understand that".

He insisted: "It shouldn't be about whether the rich or poor gets it".

'It's interesting and worrying that people are possibly carrying this disease and are seemingly okay, but can spread it easily, ' he said of not being symptomatic. Social distancing doesn't mean you're going to sleep in the bed with the person when you just got off American Airlines.... "I think given the context of the video, which was telling the world what has happened to us, we weren't thinking about that specifically".

As you're likely aware, Idris Elba is among several celebrities including Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson, Andy Cohen, and Debi Mazar who've all tested positive for the coronavirus.

Coronavirus pandemic is accelerating
Federation Internationale de Football Association has also contributed $10 million to the WHO's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. It is exceptionally important that countries like India lead the way to show the world what can be done.

Yesterday, we wrote about Sabrina Dhowre Elba and her decision to stand by her husband Idris after he tested positive for the coronavirus. "I had just gotten off of antibiotics last week, because I had a bronchial infection". There's no benefit to me and Sabrina sitting there saying we've got it and we ain't got it.

"But I made the decision to want to be with him and, you know, still touch him". "I don't feel like I'm privileged because I got a test because I actually contracted it".

Elba wrote on Twitter, "This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. Everyone should be able to get a test, for sure".

"He's at the guesthouse, because you all know I had pneumonia late past year..." She's also been reading potential Oprah's Book Club picks, attending DJ D-Nice's digital quarantine dance party, and working on her new Apple TV+ show Oprah Talks.

During an interview with Oprah Winfrey via FaceTime, Elba as asked about his thoughts on the outbreak of the novel coronavirus - which has now killed more than 14,000 people globally.
