Roman Reigns has pulled out of WWE WrestleMania

WrestleMania 36 will be taking place on April 4th and 5th.

Following another battle with leukemia, Reigns came back in February of 2019 to announce he was in remission.

However, due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, Reigns informed the WWE of his desire to skip the big event because he's immunocompromised from his battles with leukemia according to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet.

The Pro Wrestling Boom Podcast with Jason Powell features Brian Fritz of Sporting News and Between The Ropes discussing WrestleMania 36, WWE television from the empty WWE Performance Center, his own travel woes, National Football League free agency, and more. Reigns reportedly told officials that he did not feel comfortable doing the show at the Performance Center during the coronavirus pandemic. Since Roman is immunocompromised due to his battle with leukemia, the wrestler did not want to risk his health!

Reigns was scheduled to face WWE Universal Champion Bill Goldberg at the event, and had built the match-up over several weeks.

As for the title match with Goldberg, PreWrestlingSheet says Reigns will be replaced by another superstar. but it's unclear who will get the call right now. That move, along with the increased restrictions on travel and growing concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, also pushed it from a live event to a taped event that will air over two nights next month.
