NieR: Replicant Remaster Coming to PS4, XB1, and Steam

The game was described by Square Enix producer Yusuke Saito as a "version up" rather than a remake or remaster: The new version will include fully voiced lines, new content, new music by the original composer, and even the possibility of a new ending.

Making sense of the original Nier titles is a bit hard.

Development is being handled by Toylogic, and PlatinumGames' Takahisa Taura, who was a senior game designer on NieR: Automata, is also cooperating on development.

With links to Square-Enix's seemingly forgotten Drakengard franchise, Nier Replicant takes place (initially), in the future where the titular character is protecting his sick daughter, Yonah, from the attacks of mysterious, ethereal creatures.

Reincarnation is coming to both iOS and Android, and an automated translation of the game's website makes it seem as though it'll be free-to-play with microtransactions.

Finally, the official Nier Automata Twitter account announced that Nier Automata: Become as Gods Edition will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on April 2nd.
