Crawford County reports first coronavirus-related death

Illinois COVID-19 cases now total 5,057 with 73 deaths.

The Ozaukee and Washington County Public Health Department has not released any information about the latest deaths in Ozaukee County, which brings the county's total to five.

Sheboygan Mayor Mike Vandersteen called a special meeting of the Common Council at 5 PM Monday to publicly discuss measures already taken and proposed.

For the third consecutive day, an additional positive case of the Coronavirus has been reported in Sheboygan County. One person is hospitalized. He was identified as Waukesha Co. employee and the health department said it is monitoring his close contacts for symptoms. "People need to stay home and avoid crowds".

Meanwhile, an 81-year-old male is the first patient to die in Batesville with COVID-19.

COVID-19 testing was performed post-mortem and was positive. "Our hearts go out to the family of this patient and everyone who is impacted by this illness in our community", said Margaret Mary Health CEO Tim Putnam.

The tally of confirmed cases stood at 110 as of Monday morning.

According to Door County Public Health's website, there have been more than 100 tests for coronavirus conducted in Door County. All six previous cases were also Denison residents. The newest confirmed case is from Denison.
