Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season 3 release date revealed

The much faster pace of Modern Warfare's multiplayer compared to the enormous Warzone means that this could be a great time to test out loadout and perk combinations. Unlike Blackout, which required Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Warzone is completely free-to-play.

However, there are some leaked images found in the Modern Warfare game files, that reveal some of the zombie models and cosmetics that Infinity Ward were working on. The third season will bring new content for both Modern Warfare and Call of Duty Warzone, and Activision has teased some of the contents in a new image shared on the game's official Twitter account. The move meant to promote the release of the game's Season Three content coming next week.

We'd previously assumed that Season Three would go live on April 7, given that it's a Tuesday and that's when most new game releases and major seasonal resets tend to happen, but this new teaser confirms players will need to wait Wednesday to start making progress on the new Battle Pass.

All Call of Duty: Warzone player will gain access to the Modern Warfare multiplayer this weekend. It's no surprise then that all of those players would check out the Modern Warfare free weekend in hordes. The campaign is now exclusive to PlayStation and will be available to Xbox One and PC players on April 30. We don't know much about it, but Infinity Ward and Activision don't want you to forget it's coming.
