John Krasinski surprises girl with touching 'Hamilton' reunion

Poor 9-year-old Aubrey's dream of seeing "Hamilton" was dashed by coronavirus.

The cast reunion is the highlight of Episode 2 of Krasinski's Some Good News, a YouTube chat-comedy show in which the actor spotlights good deeds and positive news during the COVID-19 crisis. Oh, and it has an assist from Krasinki's much better half and even a special guest meteorologist. My favorite bit, in the beginning, is her insulting Krasinski's career while also saying that Lin-Manuel Miranda was "kind of" in Hamilton. Like the premiere, the second "SGN" mimics the traditional TV-news-show format with anchor Krasinski, in suit coat and tie, sitting at a desk and moving from story to story, each illustrated with inset or full-screen stills and/or video clips.

After listening to Aubrey's sad tale, Krasinski told Aubrey that after the whole lockdown was over he intends to send her and her family to New York City to see "Hamilton" on Broadway.

"That's awesome", Miranda said of Krasinski's NYC vacation gift after dropping in (wink, wink) unannounced.

'Fleabag' stage production to stream on Amazon for charity
The 48-hour rental will cost around $5 and proceeds will be given to charities helping to fight the coronavirus . Other US-based charities will benefit, but they will be announced at a later time.

There's Leslie Odom Aaron Burr, Phillipa Soo as Eliza, Daveed Diggs as Thomas Jefferson - the entire confection, singing from their living rooms. That's definitely some good news for the 9-year-old. I saw Jonathan Groff and screamed.

Besides the impromptu song, Krasinski and his wife, Emily Blunt, have obtained tickets to "Hamilton" for Aubrey for a future performance. "Listen, I know you had something to do with this, Tom Brady, and even though you ripped my heart straight out of my chest a few weeks ago, by God, you put it right back in with this attractive act of kindness".

It's moments like these that bring hope to such trying times.
