Stephanie Grisham took up the once high profile job of White House press secretary in June a year ago but has been largely invisible since.

Jim Sciuto, in a tweet, noted Tuesday morning that Grisham "is leaving the job without ever having briefed the press".

Melania Trump's former chief of staff Lindsay Reynolds resigned, the first lady said.

Mark Meadows, the new White House chief of staff, reportedly has been looking to replace her with one of two candidates of his own: Pentagon spokeswoman Alyssa Farah and Trump campaign spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany. Before taking the role as the top White House spokesperson, she worked for the first lady.

Grisham had said when she took on the role that she was willing to hold press briefings, but later said Trump didn't want her to. She took on a lower profile that they did, and generally kept her on-camera media appearances to Fox News.

Netflix have released the action-packed trailer for their new movie Extraction
Set in India, the trailer projects the movie as being an extraction story with Hemsworth's soldier / spy character tasked with bringing a kid to safety.

Grisham has been a long-serving member and loyal of the Trump administration, beginning as a campaign aide in 2015 and later serving as a deputy press secretary under Sean Spicer.

Grisham is also known for her close relationship with the first lady.

The president has since led the revival of the daily press briefing himself during the coronavirus crisis, offering an unprecedented level of access to White House reporters. "If true, how ironic that the press secretary would hear about being replaced in the press", she said. She tested negative for the virus.

"This president will always put America first, he will always protect American citizens". In that interview with ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos, Grisham adamantly insisted the president "did nothing wrong" in regard to withholding aid from Ukraine. She also attempted to justify derogatory comments Trump made about the deceased husband of a MI congresswoman who supported his impeachment, saying the president was a "counter-puncher".

Grisham did not immediately respond to a CNN request for comment.
