The Morani family is said to be in a state of complete shock. However, Shaza's sister Zoya was symptomatic and hence the two Morani sisters got themselves tested.

Producer Karim Morani's daughter Shaza Morani has tested positive for novel coronavirus, making her the second celebrity from the film industry to be infected.

To a text message inquiring if Shaza had tested positive for COVID-19, Morani told PTI, Yes it is true.

"She had tested today for COVID-19 and her results came positive by evening". We are admitting her to isolation in Nanavati Hospital. "The municipal authorities will be here tomorrow at 10:30 pm", a report in SpotboyE had quoted him as saying. Speaking to a news portal, Zoa stated that her sister first got a cold and cough and then she also got similar symptoms, hence the sisters made a decision to isolate themselves from their parents.

So far, according to the Pentagon, 61% of the Roosevelt crew has been tested for Covid-19, and 173 members have tested positive . The letter was leaked to a reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle , who first reported its contents last week.

Shaza, who had returned from Sri Lanka in the first week of March, showed no symptoms but was admitted to Nanavati Hospital here, on Monday. "They are in isolation and under observation", Morani had said.

Meanwhile, the Internet has dug out pictures of Shaza Morani and singer Kanika Kapoor, who was diagnosed with COVID-19 and has just recovered.
