Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has sent a classy message to his Manchester City counterpart Pep Guardiola whose mother died earlier this week after contracting coronavirus.

"Pep, we all think about him and his family", Solskjaer told Sky Sports.

Asked whether United can exploit the transfer market when football returns, Solskjaer said: "Who knows how the market is going to react to this?"

"It just goes to show that we have to, when have a chance to, spend time with our loved ones and for me Pep is such a fantastic human being and a manager and one that I have admired for many many years".

"Who knows which clubs need to sell players?"

"I'm sure we are capable, when we get back to normality, that we can do the business that we want to".

Banks and the Small Business Administration have been flooded by applications since the program began operating on Friday. She is among the hundreds of thousands of small owners who have already applied for the SBA loan.

Solskjaer said that all of the United coaching staff and players are keeping in touch while adhering to the UK government guidelines in relation to coronavirus. Now it's about making better decisions, good decisions, I think we all want to help the NHS, the communities, and I think it's important every single club do what they think is right.

Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba are likely to have recovered from their injury lay-offs by the time football resumes.

Professional Footballers' Association boss Gordon Taylor said his members had "agreed to play their part" and Solskjaer said it was time to stop criticising players.

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dolors Sala during this hard time, and we would like to express our most heartfelt condolences, especially to Pep Guardiola, his family and his friends".

Schmeichel added: "I don't think he was given the best squad of players to do precisely what he wanted to do".

"We've had the mid-season break now, we did a few things tactically in Marbella in that week and they came back focused".
