Mike Pence calls US astronauts 'trailblazers' ahead of launch next week

On May 27, SpaceX and NASA's eagerly anticipated SpaceX Demo-2 mission with its Crew Dragon spacecraft will lift off, making the first time astronauts have been launched to space from USA soil since 2011.

"Discovery and Science Channel have spent over a year documenting SpaceX's race to become the first private company to launch American astronauts into space", Science Channel exec Scott Lewers told Deadline.

Anybody who has already graduated or will graduate this year can submit their pictures, which will be part of a mosaic image of Earth aboard the upcoming Crew Dragon mission.

Behnken and Hurley plan to travel to the International Space Station on the SpaceX Demo-2 mission on May 27 at 3:33 p.m. The astronauts will first be transported to the launch pad in the Model X before walking across the bridge linking the launch tower to the Falcon 9.
