The CW has indicated that Batwoman will continue next season, with a new lead in the title role.

Ruby Rose - star of The CW superhero drama Batwoman - has officially announced that she will be exiting the show ahead of season 2. The finale aired on Sunday, which means we have already seen her final episode of the series.

While fans have hoped that big names like Evan Rachel Wood or Rose Leslie might enter the running to take up Batwoman's mantle in the past, it seems like there's a flawless opportunity for the CW to find a lesser-known performer and make her a star.

I was ofcourse very interested to read why Ruby Rose is Batwoman no more.

Rose made her debut as Gotham's vigilante in the Arrowverse's 2018 crossover event "Elseworlds". "Much thanks to you to every individual who made season one a triumph - I am genuinely appreciative".

Jennifer Aniston wants Brad Pitt to clarify his position regarding Alia Shawkat
The ban comes after Shiloh was reported to have been introduced to Alia during the teenager's visit to her father's place. She's been taking the calls, but she finds it maddening wondering what the hell is happening - and she's told him as much.

So why is Rose leaving Batwoman? The actress said she would not return for another season in the following year, 2021.

But now, TV Line reports that an unnamed source close to the show says her departure was not only on her end. She thanked everyone who showed faith in her and her fans who made the show a big success. So everyone decided it would be in the best interests of the show, and for all concerned, if they parted ways. It was ultimately "not a good fit", Deadline adds. But Warner Bros., the studio behind the show, the CW have chose to go forward and recast, reports

"To everyone asking about my new Pex dispenser scar on my neck.A couple of months ago I was told I needed an emergency surgery or I was risking becoming paralyzed", Rose said at the time. Rose herniated two discs, which made it hard for her to feel her arms at times and risked giving her facial paralysis, not to mention coming close to severing her spinal cord.

Prior to OITNB, Ruby Rose was hospitalised for mental health reasons.

The shock announcement comes just days after the show wrapped its first season. That makes casting a new actor to take on the role of Kate Kane is surely a top priority.
