Drake apologises after branding Kylie Jenner a 'side piece' in unreleased track

In My Feelings singer Drake has finally opened up on the controversial song that brands Kylie Jenner as a 'side piece.' Read further to know what he has to say about the same.

He didn't expand on the true meaning behind the rap lyric, but there were rumours late a year ago suggesting Kylie and Drake were secretly dating after she attended his Halloween party. Nevertheless, Drake took it upon himself to apologize for the song and looked to give some context for the situation.

"A song that mark ran last night on night owl sound live set shouldn't have been played".

Since Drake has been using the quarantine to premiere several unreleased tracks on Instagram, the rapper has shown off countless singles fans are hungry to hear in full. This week, he played an older track that was leaked by him and Future, where he references Kylie Jenner and calls her his "side piece." In a similar lyric, the duo also mention Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid as well.

Drake insisted he would hate to have disrespected his friends.

The pair were growing closer at the beginning of the year as Kylie enjoyed his company at a party and the rumour mill went into a frenzy linking them in a romantic relationship.

In an Instagram Story published on Thursday (May 21), Drake, 33, explained the mishap and insisted he would hate to have disrespected his friends, referring to the three women.
