Alejandro Ripley was taken outside of a Home Depot in Miami on Thursday night. Miami-Dade police are on scene and will provide an update.

"The child was abducted by two unknown black males driving an unknown light blue 4-door sedan", the alert said.

"The driver of the unknown vehicle attempted to side-swipe her vehicle", a police statement said.

Alejandro was diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder, and he has a scar on his left leg, police said.

Miami police detective Angel Rodriguez said that when the mother insisted that she had no illegal narcotics in her possession, the bandit snatched her cellphone and pulled her son out of the vehicle. "The mother is insisting that she does not have any drugs". She said the suspect snatched her son and her cellphone, according to police, then got back in the vehicle, which drove away. One of the them was described as possibly wearing all-black clothes and a black bandanna face mask, and might have cornrows. Police do not believe the two men were armed.

Investigators are warning the public not to approach the suspects if spotted - but instead to call law enforcement immediately.

Ripley's body was found floating in a lake at the Miccosukee Golf and Country Club in the southwest area of Miami-Dade near to where the boy was taken Thursday, according to Local10.

According to a store employee, the abductors crashed into the mother's auto and took off with the child, who has been identified as Alejandro Ripley.

No information has been released on how the young boy died or where he was found at this time.
