On Tuesday, the company launched a new phone called Realme X3 SuperZoom, a flagship that launches in Europe first and hits all the right spots for a price of €499 ($547/£447).

Though Realme has released images and specifications of the upcoming X3 SuperZoom smartphone, the company is yet to officially announce the pricing and availability details of the device.

Former Oppo sub-brand Realme has garnered praise in recent years for cut-price handsets with flagship specs - such as the X2 Pro that I reviewed earlier this year - and its latest phone doesn't stray from this formula.

Realme spent a good chunk of the keynote talking about the camera capabilities and features of the X3 SuperZoom. You will also find a side-mounted fingerprint sensor onboard, which doubles as the power button.

There are two cameras on the front, with a 32MP Sony IMX616 primary selfie camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide shooter with a 105-degree field-of-view.

This smartphone, as you may have already read, is powered by the Snapdragon 855+ chipset from a year ago. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.0 storage. There's only a single variant available in Europe. Realme India CEO has also talked about a few features of the X3 SuperZoom.

In the camera department, Realme X3 SuperZoom massive gains over the Realme X2 Pro.

I'm in the dark like most other people, and for that, I'm glad, really, because I can't comment on it. Financier Staveley is fronting the bid but backed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The Realme X3 SuperZoom gets its name from the 8MP 122mm 5x periscope zoom lens, which through software and with the help of the 64MP main sensor can snap up to 60x hybrid zoom shots.

Perhaps the most interesting feature is the new Starry mode, which lets you try astrophotography via your phone. It features a 3D curved glass, curved waistline, and new upgraded coating technology, which not only has a higher value but also provides better grip. If there's one thing that you can count on from OEMs in the BBK family (that's Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus, and Realme), it's blazing performance suitable for mobile gaming and basically anything you can throw at a phone.

Under the hood, it will run Android 10 and pack a 4,200mAh battery with 30W fast-charging support. It can take the battery from empty to full in less than an hour.

Realme X3 SuperZoom price is set at Euro 499 (roughly Rs. 43,300) for the 12GB + 256GB storage model.

The Realme X3 SuperZoom is on pre-order starting today and will go on its first sale on June 2 at 10AM.

The smartphone will be available in two stunning color variants, namely Arctic White and Glacier Blue.
