McDonald's, which has drive-throughs in Lynn and Swaffham, will confirm which days each restaurant is reopening on next week.

The Big M announced on Twitter that it would be reopening 924 Drive-Thru restaurants between June 2 and 4, with 75 restaurants added to McDelivery via Uber Eats or Just Eat.

'This is only possible following the hard work of the teams in our 44 pilot restaurants.

A spokesperson for McDonald's said: "Over the last fortnight, our employees, franchisees and suppliers have worked tirelessly to implement new procedures to help enable safe working so that we can now serve McDonald's favourites to all parts of the United Kingdom and Ireland", a McDonald's spokesperson said.

The details of which restaurants will reopen on each of those three days will be released on each morning to manage anticipated demand.

Ryan Hall and Paisley Hamilton, both 23, drove from Hull to a Peterborough McDonald's on a journey they said took them seven hours.

McDonald's, along with its competitors Burger King, KFC and Nando's, have been trialling phased reopenings of their restaurants, with increased safety measures.
