White: Jones wants 'absurd amount of money' for Ngannou fight

He ended things by claiming he could make more from his first boxing match than his next three UFC fights combined. Check out what the champ wrote below on Twitter.

'Hunter and I had a very respectful conversation, I love how you're trying to paint this picture of me being some angry guy disrespectfully demanding money.

Requests for comment from the UFC were not immediately returned Sunday.

Jones also confirmed to a fan on Twitter he intends to relinquish the strap and followed it up with a series of other tweets in which he highlighted his frustrations and stated he was done. It's unclear if these tweets are part of the very public negotiations between both sides or an earnest statement from Jones. He fell well short of admitting that he asked for Wilder money, saying to White, "Don't be a f--ing liar".

I remember Nate sitting on the sidelines after the 2nd Conor fight and saying he was worth millions.

With Jones going against Dana on social media because he wants 15M per fight.

"He can do whatever he wants", White said. He can sit out, [or] he can fight. It's his God-given right in America. When he's ready to come back, he can.

"If you're going to stick to these lies, I'm going to stick to defending myself".

Antifa to be designated as terrorist organization, Trump says
Floyd died in police custody on Monday after an officer pressed his knee on his neck during his arrest. In an earlier tweet today, Mr Trump praised the efforts of the Nationaal Guard in stopping the riots.

It will be interesting how (and if) White will respond to the rants of Jones. Jones has been arrested multiple times during his UFC career, on charges ranging from felony hit-and-run to DWI. He pleaded guilty to the charges after accepting a plea deal.

'Why don't you guys fly back and tell you bosses, 'F*** what this company makes!

"For the amount of money he's asking for, it's not going to happen".

"I don't even make half of half of what Diante Wilder makes". And how about since Diante is making 30 million, we settle for half of that.

"You know how this works".

The 32-year-old Jones is considered one of the greatest MMA fighters ever at 26-1. Jones has only one UFC loss, by disqualification in 2009. He has the most championship victories in UFC history (14) and is on the longest beaten streak in UFC history (18 fights).

"The stuff that he's been through, to show up and basically demand $20 million, or $30 million, it's insane", White told the press at the post show press conference. Wilder reportedly made between $25 million-$30 million to fight Tyson Fury in February. Let me know if you guys want to set up a day in 2021 for that Izzy fight.

Things have taken a poor turn between Jones and the UFC, only time will tell if they can mend the bridges that hav been burnt.
