Gronk picked up the 24/7 Championship on the second night, but he lost that title this week on WWE Raw to R-Truth, which appears to be his last action for the company.

While Gronkowski has no other obligations to WWE, he can't work for another wrestling company for a set period of time as part of the release clause.

During his 10-week run with WWE, Rob Gronkowski didn't compete in any official matches, and instead just cut promos.

New Ebola outbreak detected in West Congo, 4 dead
The newest outbreak in the DRC's northwest is the 11th in the country since scientists first characterised the disease in 1976. Congo's government, however, has been lauded as quick to identify and contain Ebola in most previous outbreaks.

However, according to a report by WrestlingInc, Gronkowski and WWE have parted ways. Gronk could still make appearances or opt to wrestle once his National Football League career is done.

He's also a world champion for Vince McMahon. Once Gronkowski turned his back on Truth, he took it upon himself to roll him up and pin him to win the title.

What that means for Gronk's WWE future is uncertain, but it looks like it's officially time for No. 87 to shift his focus to the upcoming season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
