"I'm honest, I always have such a small hope that we can and will keep him here for another year", the previous Germany worldwide as well as 1990 World Cup champion discussed to Sky Sports on Wednesday when inquired about Havertz's future at the club.

Reported Manchester United transfer target Kai Havertz has been likened to French legend Zinedine Zidane by his coach.

Bayer Leverkusen's assistant coach Marcel Daum spoke to TalkSport about Kai Havertz. "Yes, the market has changed, although in a year or two everything will be the same again in terms of top players".

"I can only say that I love to see him play, especially for as long as possible in the Leverkusen shirt". For me, he has the elegance of Zidane.

Havertz has enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence in the Bundesliga over the last couple of seasons, attracting attention from a whole host of top European clubs in the process. That's a big bonus.

Snapchat Won't Promote Trump's Account For Inciting "Racial Violence"
His content will still be fully accessible to the public, so his followers and those searching for his account can still see it. Snap made this decision over the weekend. "They view you as a deplorable and they do not want you to exist on their platform".

While there is no doubting Havertz's talents, for him to be described as "the best player" in Germany - a country full of some of the most high-quality players - despite his young age is testament to his sheer quality.

The sporting director was asked if he prefers him to go to Bayern or another team that isn't German, but it doesn't matter too much to Rolfes. "He's displaying signs of Zidane".

"The situation with coronavirus is so unusual and so complicated that it's still open that he will leave us", he said.

As the Premier League also prepares to reopen its doors on June 17, Daum has warned that the lack of atmosphere without supporters makes for a "bizarre" experience. You get used to it. "Liverpool are a bit different with the way they set up and play, but besides that I think he improves every team".

"Sometimes the atmosphere is like a friendly game, but still you know it's a competition".
