Likewise, French President Emmanuel Macron, said the article, believed that Trump had damaged European security through his unilateral abandonment of the Iran nuclear deal and almost every arms control agreement with Russian Federation. We always knew Trump would lash out when he is under pressure domestically, but we thought he would first pull out of Afghanistan, an unnamed official was quoted as saying by The Wall Street Journal.

Senior lawmakers from German Chancellor Angela Merkel's ruling conservative bloc on Saturday criticised President Donald Trump's decision to order the USA military to remove 9,500 troops from Germany.

This official said there was less need for the large contingent in Germany due to overall increased defense spending by the US -led North Atlantic Treaty Organisation military alliance.

The US is "committed to working with our strong ally Germany to ensure our mutual defence" and other matters. "The federal government should accept it with gratitude and promptly start preparing the complete withdrawal of U.S. soldiers with the Trump administration", said Dietmar Bartsch. There has been American presence in the European nation from the post-World War II era and now, about 34,500 U.S. troops are stationed there.

"Everyone profits from the alliance sticking together, only Russian Federation and China profit from discord".
