Durant won't play for Nets this season

Kevin Durant is now almost a full year removed from his surgery to fix a ruptured Achilles tendon, and Nets GM Sean Marks said last month that Durant is looking like himself on the court - but the two-time Finals MVP ruled himself out for the rest of the season on Friday.

"That is a decision we are still making, " Durant said, according to the report.

While Durant was progressing during his rehab with the Nets, the team will take a cautious approach as the National Basketball Association gets set to return. "I had no plans of playing at all this season". The Nets, who are now the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference, will be one of the squads resuming the season in Orlando, Florida, on July 31.

Durant has not played since he tore his Achilles tendon on June 11 during Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals while playing for the Golden State Warriors against the Toronto Raptors. I could really take my time and focus on myself each and every day.

Durant said that the rehabilitation process has been going well for him and he's "feeling like a normal player again". Not get too excited when my team plays well or I have a good (rehab) day. I started to get information about it more and more.

Bolsonaro Threatens to Follow in US Footsteps and Leave WHO
Brazil has the world's second-highest number of coronavirus infections, with 646,000, and over 35,000 coronavirus deaths. More than 1.83 million coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the US along with more than 106,000 deaths.

"I didn't feel rushed at all". I'm just in my summertime routine.

That was the last part of his rehab.

Marks hinted two weeks ago Durant was out for the Disney World relaunch when he said he was looking forward to Durant playing in Brooklyn.

Durant was then asked if he has any urge to play. And last month his buddy Jay Williams, who is a host of Durant's "The Boardroom" show on ESPN, told The Post it was "unfair to Kevin" to be thrust into a playoff cauldron so quickly upon his return.

In fact, there's motivation to not make the playoffs.
