Robot Actor Erica Lands Role in $70 Million Sci-Fi Film 'b'

Despite likely having the advantage on her to-be-announced co-stars when it comes to learning lines, Erica still has character work to do in preparation for the role. Enter Erica: the world's first AI robotic movie star who has just landed her first acting gig in an upcoming sci-fi flick titled b.

Japanese scientists Hiroshi Ishiguro and Kohei Ogawa created Erica as part of their study diving deep into the intricacies of robotics, and taught the robot to act too.

Bondit of the company Capital Media, Happy Moon Productions and Ten Global Media want to make a new project for 70 million involving artificial intelligence.

According to Hollywood Reporter, "b follows a scientist who discovers dangers associated with a program he created to ideal human DNA and helps the artificially intelligent woman he designed (Erica) escape".

Robots have been replacing humans in the workplace for years, yet no-one expected them to be leading high-budget live-action movies.

The actress will be an Artificial Intelligence actor Erica.

Erica will be headlining the movie based on a story by visual effects supervisor Eric Pham, Tarek Zohdy and Sam Khoze. They designed her so that she would be capable of method acting. But Erica has no daily life ordeals.

"She was created from scratch to play the role".

The story is that of a scientist who discovers dangers associated with a program he created to flawless human DNA and helps the artificially intelligent woman he designed (Erica) escape. "We had to simulate its movements, and emotions through individual sessions, such as the control of the speed of its movements, the fact of talking through her feelings and the coaching of the development of the character and body language" explains Khoze. The studio plans to shoot the rest of b in Europe starting June of 2021 if things go according to plan. Movie b is about the journey of an AI woman named Erica, who runs away from the lab.
