Zinedine Zidane's Real Madrid now sit just one point behind La Liga champions Barcelona with a game in hand after Quique Setien's side suffered a 2-2 draw to lowly Celta Vigo on Saturday. With a kinder run-in than the Catalans, the trophy appears to be Madrid's to lose.

Indeed, Luis Suarez admitted to LaLiga TV immediately afterwards, "It was a vital match to fight for the title".

"Now we have to wait for Real Madrid to lose some points".

Both Barcelona goals came from Suarez, who hadn't scored since recovering from surgery on his right knee in January.

Barcelona youngster Riqui Puig is expected to start for Barcelona as the team will miss the veteran midfielder Sergio Busquets for suspension and Frenkie de Jong for injury.

Celta are 16th on 34 points, the draw taking them eight points clear of the relegation zone.

COVID-19 Antibody Testing Offered At Perry Hall Patient First
Boris Johnson has described coronavirus antibody tests as potentially being "game changing" in the fight against the pandemic. Through the antibody tests, the presence of the antibodies immunoglobulin M (IgM) and immunoglobulin G (IgG) can be detected.

In the dressing room at Balaidos, the players reproached the coach for some of his tactical decisions and also for some of the changes he made in the match against Celta, such as bringing on Arthur Melo and Antoine Griezmann. Everyone had expected the Argentine to shoot but he put a flawless cross for Suarez to head in.

The warnings went unheeded and when Arturo Vidal played a careless pass early in the second half, Celta capitalised. Denis Suarez misplaced possession underneath pressure from Fati, Messi performed into Luis Suarez, who backed in, turned and drove into the far corner.

Messi remained at the heart of the matters as he tried to score directly from a corner after one of his corners - headed in target by Gerard Pique - was successfully dealt by the Celta Vigo defenders in the initial minutes of the opening half.

It could have been even worse for Setien's side if Brais Mendez's strike didn't rebound off the woodwork, or if Nolito didn't shoot straight at Marc-Andre Ter Stegen with the goal at his mercy in the game's closing moments.

Victory means Atletico have taken 13 from a possible 15 points since the resumption and ahead of their trip to Camp Nou on Tuesday.
