The NBA has announced the schedule for the 22-participating teams in the Orlando restart of the 2019-20 season. No more than seven games will be played on any given day.

Pelicans Schedule July 30: vs. Utah Jazz, 6:30 p.m., TNT August 1: vs. Los Angeles Clippers, 6 p.m., ESPN August 3: vs. Memphis Grizzlies, 6:30 p.m., ESPN August 6: vs. Sacramento Kings, 1:30 p.m., NBA TV August 7: vs. Washington Wizards, 8 p.m.

As expected, all games at the Disney complex will be played spectator-free and will be held under strict health and safety protocols created to minimise risks related to the coronavirus pandemic. Those who tested positive will remain in self-isolation until he satisfies public health protocols for discontinuing isolation and has been cleared by a physician. Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Florida have risen at a rapid rate of late, and have reportedly doubled within the Orlando era housing the Disney complex over the past few weeks. The plan has been enacted after several months of debate.

Meanwhile, the ICMR has initiated a programme of clinical trials for rapid antigen detection for COVID-19 patients. Of the 167 deaths reported on the day, 86 took place over the last 48 hours and 81 had occurred before June 25.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver says the current plan for restarting the league is the best option.

Now, the National Basketball Association season is resuming on July 30th at Disney World and LeBron has had 5 months to rest and re-energize for the last push to the finish line. If the NBA is able to stage the remainder of the games without having to shut down again, the NBA Finals will finish no later than October 13.

"There's no question this season and frankly this year has been one which none of us will soon forget", NBPA executive director Michele Roberts said.
