Dortmund still in 'close contact' with Madrid over Hakimi despite Inter speculation

Morocco global Achraf Hakimi will leave Borussia Dortmund this summer after two years on loan from Real Madrid, the Bundesliga club's sporting director Michael Zorc said Saturday.

It appears that, despite several reports to the contrary, Tottenham Hotspur were not in the race to sign Achraf Hakimi this summer.

However, Dortmund confirmed on Saturday that Hakimi would not be staying on permanently, with Thomas Meunier having already been brought in to bolster Lucien Favre's options at right-back.

Little by little, more details became known, such as that the duration of the footballer's contract would be five years and that he would receive five million per season, bonus included.
