Dr. Dre's billion dollar fortune is now on the line after his wife, Nicole Young, files for divorce.

Young said she moved to dissolve her marriage citing irreconcilable differences.

The rapper and producer, whose real name is Andre Young, has amassed millions throughout his career in the entertainment industry as co-owner of Death Row Records and founder and chief executive of Aftermath Entertainment and Beats Electronics, which he sold to Apple in 2014 for more than $4b. She is seeking spousal support. The pair share two adult children together, daughter Truly Young, 19, and son Truice Young, 23.

Dr. Dre also has four children from previous relationships: daughters Tyra Young and La Tanya Danielle Young as well as sons Marcel and Curtis.

According to TMZ, Dr. Dre and Young do not have a prenup, and Forbes reports that the Still D.R.E. rapper is worth $800 million.

Nicole, on the other hand, was previously married to Sedale Threatt, a retired National Basketball Association (NBA) player.

Over the years Dr Dre has been getting accused by various women on abuse.

The lovebirds, who tied the knot in 1996, last appeared in public together at the Tom Ford fashion show in February this year.

According to circulating reports, there is said to have been no signed prenuptial agreement in place and the six-time Grammy victor is said by Forbes to be worth an estimated $800 million.
