Harry Potter RPG Coming to PS5 Next Year, Reveal Coming In August

The Bloomberg report mentions PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, but does not indicate whether there are plans to release the game on PC (although we would cautiously assume a PC launch would be planned as well).

The next-gen Harry Potter RPG that leaked yonks ago has been teased again through reports from Bloomberg. JK Rowling's recent comments about transgender people bothered at least a few of the game's developers.

The game is reportedly in development at Avalanche Software in Salt Lake City, Utah.

It is said that the game was meant to be revealed at E3 this year, but as that was cancelled due to the Covi-19 pandemic plans were re-arranged. Interactive Entertainment's open-world Harry Potter RPG has stayed out of sight. In the most extreme case, the cost and years-long development of the game could make it a more vulnerable candidate for total cancellation, according to Matthew Kanterman, an analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence.
