Both players will remain with their respective clubs till the end of the 2019-20 season.

Miralem Pjanic has been included in Juventus' squad to face Genoa on Tuesday, a day after his impending move to Barcelona was confirmed.

Speaking at a news conference on Monday, prior to the confirmation of the deal, Juve coach Maurizio Sarri said he had no doubts Pjanic would give his all to the cause before heading to Barca.

"The Italian club will pay 72 million euros, plus 10 million euros in variables", Barcelona said in a statement.

Buffon and Chiellini, meanwhile, will remain with the Serie A leaders, who are chasing a ninth consecutive Scudetto this season, until the end of the 2020-21 campaign. The 30-year-old will sign a four-year contract until the end of the 2023-24 season, with a buyout clause of 400 million euros.

Arthur joined the reigning LaLiga champions from Gremio in 2018 and has gone on to make 72 appearances for the club, winning the league title and the Spanish Super Cup in his first season. He was brought up in Luxembourg and initially made his name in French football with Metz and then Lyon.

Arthur had been reluctant to leave the Camp Nou, and even released a statement in April, insisting his "idea was clear" and that he wanted to play at Barcelona "for many years".

"Pjanic is a very important player for us, so when the option emerged, we spoke to Miralem and he said he was happy here, so the only club he would've left us for was Barcelona".
