Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign winger Leroy Sane in a deal worth €45 million (RM216.6 million) plus add-ons, British and German media reported on Tuesday.

Sane has helped City win the Premier League twice, one FA Cup and two League Cups, and was named the PFA young player of the year for 2017-18.

Sane will earn around €22 million a year at Bayern, close to double what City offered during their negotiations.

Sane, who is expected to be in Germany for a medical on Wednesday, won't be eligible to play for Bayern until next season but will not play for City again.

The illegal filming procedure took place during a December 8 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns . When confronted, the team said the crew "immediately turned over all footage to the league and cooperated fully".

Sane suffered a torn ACL in the Community Shield against Liverpool in August of previous year and did not play again until the 5-0 win against Burnley on June 22nd.

City manager Pep Guardiola has been prepared for Sane's exit, saying last week there was no urgency to sign a left-sided replacement. Sane wouldn't be able to play for Bayern in the European competition even if the deal was completed by then. He has scored 25 goals and provided 28 assists in 90 league games for the Etihad Stadium outfit. "When we make an offer it's because we want him; he's got a special quality that is hard to find".

"I have nothing against him, he's just decided he wants to make another adventure for his career and he doesn't want to stay".
