Chinese military seems to have inscribed a massive Mandarin signage and China's map onto the ground they have occupied in the contested Fingers areas of Ladakh's Pangong Tso. At present, both sides are in a standoff at Finger 4.

The talks between Lt. Gen. Harinder Singh, General Officer Commanding of the Leh-based 14 Corps and Maj.

It will be the third round of Lt General-level talks and it will take place in Chushul sector on the Indian side of Line of Actual Control. Since the last meeting on June 22, there has only been "miniscule reduction of troops in the friction pockets", sources said.

"Concentration and mobilisation of troops continues and hasn't shown signs of abating", sources said, highlighting that it will be "a long haul, well into the winter".

The Finger area is a series of spurs that rise along the bank of the Pangong lake, with the Indian perception of the LAC lying at Finger 8.

German logistics company DHL said on Wednesday (July 1) it has temporarily suspended picking up import shipments from China to India, after border tensions between the countries led to clearance delays. Over the past month, it has built several dozen defences and hundreds of structures between Finger 4 and 8, in gross violation of all border protocols and agreements. In addition, moving back to Finger 2 would involve dismantling of two Indian military camps on the banks of the lake.

Bayern Munich agree deal to sign Sane from Man City
Sane will earn around €22 million a year at Bayern , close to double what City offered during their negotiations. Sane wouldn't be able to play for Bayern in the European competition even if the deal was completed by then.

Sources said that Chinese demands are untenable as the change in status quo was carried out by the PLA and Indian troops did not try to alter ground positions.

Diplomatic talks are also expected to happen soon.

After the unprecedented face-off between Indian and Chinese armies in Ladakh's Galwan Valley on 15 June, both New Delhi and Beijing have been trying to diffuse tensions at the border through army-to-army engagements and diplomacy.

At the meeting, the commanders of both sides had agreed to pull back troops and disengagement had started on both sides.

Another prominent freight transporter FedEx Corp has also suspended shipments, according to a BloomberQuint report, adding that the company is facing backlogs beyond its control.
