Sees 15 new cases of COVID-19

The Caldwell County Health Department reported 11 new cases of COVID-19 Monday, increasing the total number of infections to 410, with four deaths.

Preliminary investigation likely connects this person to a known case from a large event in another county.

New Hanover County averaged 47 new positive cases daily last week, a fivefold increase from the first week of the month.

There have now been 38 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the counties served by the Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health Department. The hospital is averaging 28 patients daily hospitalized for the virus.
