The release from Early Access means they main story of Save The World has now been completed so Ventures will not have a massive impact on thats. In addition, fans on the Fortnite Save the World subreddit are less than pleased about the new direction Epic is taking.

Fortnite's Battle Royale and Creative game modes are also leaving Early Access, and over the upcoming months Save the World will no longer support Fortnite Battle Royale cosmetic purchases. As things move forward not all future Battle Royale cosmetics will be compatible with Save The World, though existing cosmetics will be.

"Today we're bringing Save the World out of Early Access and have decided that it will remain a premium experience rather than going free-to-play", reads an Epic post. It launched into an "Early Access Season" in July 2017 and didn't exactly set the world on fire-until September, when Epic unleashes the PUBG-inspired Fortnite Battle Royale on the world, which changed, well, everything. Folks who purchased founder's packs for the game will be upgraded to the next level of founder's benefits, with Ultimate Pack owners gaining a new Metal Team Leader Pack and 8,000 V-Bucks. Epic suggests that that label was "a holdover from our initial Save the World launch", although it's always been suggested that the decision has been at least partly fuelled by the game's extremely fast update schedule.

Venture seasons feature their own seasonal progression and challenges, which ultimately change the game's difficulty, weapons, and rewards.

"While the main story of Save the World is complete, there are still adventures to be had".

You can even unlock Supercharger materials that can raise the level of items beyond their current cap. Starting Thursday, Epic will begin selling a new pack series which begins with the Metal Team Leader Pack.

"The Metal Team Leader Pack introduces a new Hero, the Papa Bear weapon schematic, Warning Bow Back Bling, the Metal Team leader Challenges, and entry to Save the World at a new $20 price point", Epic explains.

To be clear, the free-to-play battle royale game - Fortnite as the majority of players know it - will continue uninterrupted. New quests and Heroes will come in slowly, while existing Heroes and Questlines will rotate in and out throughout each season.
